A FISH IS TOO VALUABLE TO CATCH JUST ONCE

FISHING REPORT 7/15

Left dock this morning under cover of darkness looking for a bass at dead low tide and was not successful , Water temp on bottom of tide 74 but as tide started rolling in the temp dropped to 64 . Switched to fluke and bite was real slow and only managed 5 shorts….Shoobies arriving so called it a morning. Tomorrow should be better but tides all week will be lousy in morning

FISHING BILL IN CONGRESS

HR200 was passed this week by the U.S,House and it provides some needed relief in Saltwater Recreational Fishing and now goes to Senate
The Senate bill is S-1520 and the Senate needs to pass by year end or the process has to start all over
If interested in Recreational Saltwater Fishing ?,take the time to contact your US Senator and tell them you support S-1520 and encourage then to vote for it and get it done by end of this year .Senators will be bombarded by “so-called” Environmentalist encouraging them to vote against this bill. If bill does not get past you can expect less and less saltwater fish being allowed to be kept by recreational fishermen and shorter seasons..
Your Senator NEEDS to hear from you

FISHING REPORT 7/13

LEFT dock under cover of darkness this morning looking for bass on start of incoming but not expecting much and didn’t get disappointed as I found no bass.. Switched to Fluke and found them at each place I stopped but no size ,most were 16″ up to 17 1/2 but nothing legal… I stopped at a place I don’t usually stop for fluke and never expected to get any BUT pulled 4 out of this spot which was only a nice little hole surrounded by 2-3ft of water and hole had 10-12ftf water Key to success is make sure you see some bait in water even if just a few on your machine . Also if you want the best bait and need some advice don t miss Cameron at Boulavard Bait and Tackle for latest info and hottest bait
I will not be fishing tomorrow as I will let the weekend warriors take ove
Have a Good Weekend and Tight Lines

FISHING REPORT 7/12

LEFT dock little late than usually due to a little rain coming through , East wind and they say when wind is from the east the fish bite the least and it was proven right today.
Managed to find one short bass on a popper and might have missed another ,Switched to fluke and that bite was real slow and managed to only find 4 shorts on top of the tide and called it a day

FISHING REPORT 7/11

LEFT the dock around 430 looking for bass and after an hour nothing.. I headed into Corson Sound on top of tide .The General was in there and found a pod of fish ,he picked up 3 and was leaving and I finally found 2 as sun was now up and tide going out than nothing.Switched to fluke and managed to find 11 shorts but nothing over 17″
Called it a day

FISHING REPORT 7/10

Pulled out of dock at 530 looking for bass ,found 1 but by now sun is up and no more.Switched to fluke and went where I had them yesterday and they were gone , Did managed to find 8 shorts searching .ALSO picked up one 18″ weakfish
I had Mike Sheppard from the AC Press on board but couldn’t repeat yesterday.
There are a few bass around but once sun comes up party is over

FISHING REPORT 7/9

Left dock this more little before dawn looking for bass but could only find one interested in my popper a 24″ bass.. Sun up switched to fluke ,first 2 stops nothing than remembering what I just read in my log I headed to a shallow cut on outgoing tide and found hungry fluke… I managed to get 14 including 2 at 20″ and 1 at 21″ .Tide dropping so I had to get out of that spot . Hit a couple more spots with nothing so called it a day……White and pink 4″ Gulp swimming baits did the trick. … I was fishing in 4-6 ft of water in a very narrow ditch leading into ICW. Fluke are still here but you need to look for them ,find one you will find more as they are schooling up to leave

FISHING REPORT 7/8

Left dock at 5am looking for bass and found none, did see one 20″er caught but not ,by,me. Switched to fluke hitting my normal places and only found cold water at 62 degrees no bites.. Tide half out I headed home but made one stop where I saw water temp of 68 and there I found 6 fluke including one 21″ er …Boat traffic increasing and wind picking up again pushing 20 so called it a morning….. Will try again tomorrow and with high around 6 I think I will go looking in shallow bays for bass before sun gets up…. Would love to get a cloudy day

FISHING REPORT 7/5

I went out this morning at crack of dawn looking for Bass only to find water temps of 75plus on bottom of tide.. Switched to fluke and managed to get 3 that were little over 17 but still short. &:30 fleet was coming out and jet skies at high rates of speed so headed home and called it a day
Given the crazies on the water this time of year only time to fish is and be comfortable is first 2 hours of the day in order to keep my sanity

FISHING REPORT 7/2

Litttle late with this report as I had computer problems..Left dock yesterday morning around 530 with little over and hour outgoing…Found one 24″ bass and a 25″Bluefish all trolling .. Tide started in RAY’S showed up ,after hooking into one of them and playing it for 10-12 minutes and getting it to boat I cut line and let her go….. .switched to fluke and found 7 shorts before heading to the barn to pick up grand kids
3 grand kids on board under 5 and we went looking but could only come up with 1 fluke 18 1/2″…. Kids just want to ride so quit fishing and took them for a ride
Will not be fishing today Tuesday ,may try it early on 4th
HAVE A GREAT 4TH
