This Day had to come sooner or later

After 21 years using the same Boat with several engines over the years and catching and releasing well over 25,000 fish with over 20,000 tagged and released with a American Littoral society tag my 19 ft Mako has been sold and I am currently “boatless”   Tough decision but boat just got too tough for me to deal with in my elderly age…Been one thing medical issues after another since July, not all that serious but a real pain in the A@#

So today I said goodbye and wished the new owner all the best. Told him to listen carefully to the boat as she could find fish on regular basis

I may  look around for a smaller center console  but in mean time I will be land based .It has been a helleva right.

There are a lot of short stripers  being  caught in usual places AND few big bluefish..Fluke are moving inshore and will be found in the shallow bays on outgoing tides and sunny days

Water Temp is just about normal for first week in May so get out and catch some fish… I will be reporting off and on as to what I find and what I hear is being caught and how
