LEFT dock this morning with a water temp of 80.Decided it was a fluke day so headed for shallow bays on last of outgoing tide.As expected fluke were there and on last of outgoing tide I tagged 15 fluke and kept 1-19″er.. Continued to fish first hour of incoming but it clearly was slower so called it a morning and back at dock by 9am
The fluke that have been laying in our shallow bays are beginning to move out and this bite has been consistent for past 5 years in August
Best bait today was dolphin bellies only available at Boulavard Bait and Tackle and pink swimming minnow Gulp
This bite should continue for another week or maybe little longer . You have to work through the shorts to get a keeper
