Took off this morning in fog ,drizzle and 49 degrees but little wind ,Started looking for bass and found nothing ,water temp was 51. Switched to fluke and managed to find one of 17″ and some Bluefish came roaming through.after losing 2 as result of them biting through my leader I managed to get one to boat that was a little over 33″
Tide down and I was cold and wet so headed home…. Water has to warm up a little to get these fish active
Tomorrow does not look promising with rain
I just did some historical research on water temps on May 2 and this is coldest water in this area on May 2 in 22 years
