HAPPY NEW YEAR

Here is wishing you a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MAY YOUR LINES BE TIGHT
Given the late run and warm water I would bet we could have a early start in March as usually with a late run there is an excellent hild over population

I will be recapping my 2015 year which I’m not all that proud of beginning in Jan
I will provide my yearly stats followed by recap by month and species
Along the way I will provide some tips that I use

HAPPY NEW YEAR

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I would like to wish all who followed this post a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A GREAT NEW YEAR
Here is hoping that the dredges will be gone and we will see a long fishing season next year

I will begin posting my results by the month early next year if anyone is interested

There will be a marine council meeting on Jan 7th and I suspect there will be a discussion on flounder. Following that meeting there will be a listening meeting held by Mid-Atlantic people on summer flounder .They want to hear from you

I hope to attend and will pass anything I learn on this site following the meeting

MERRY CHRISTMAS

One Last fishing trip

I got an invite from Pat Martin to fish on his boat the” RETAINER” ( (
today and 3 of us (Chris was #3 on board) went looking for Bass… It was a beautiful Sept Morning with no wind when we pulled out of dock OH WAIT IT IS DEC 12th In any event we went fishing in one of Pat’s hot spots while most boats were heading offshore …..WELL it was a GREAT Day for DEC and we landed 11 bass from 24-33″ All fish caught on live eels and bucktails… I won’t mention who was high hook but it was the guy using bucktails !!!!!!
9 bass were tagged and released ,1 bass 0f 33″ kept and 1 released without a tag
I am very grateful to Pat for giving me one more chance in 2015 to catch a bass
Merry Christmas to all and may your lines be tight next year
