FISHING REPORT 7/9

Headed out this morning under cover of darkness and overcast skies.Water temp at dock was 78 and when I go to my spot it was down to 67 and dropping. Once water temp hit 60 I got first fish and it kept dropping down to 56 .Ended up with 4 bass 24-27″ and ran out of Live Spot,Tried an eel on top of tide but nothing. Decided to go fill up with bait for tomorrow and picked up a dozen live Spots before calling it a morning
Clearly the bite is water temperature sensitive and don’t know how long this cold water will lass as next couple of days could see wind change from the favorable SW to west and than maybe north which will warm up water and bass will leave.
Catching decent size bass in July is a real plus and doesn’t happen every year
